Motorcycle Accidents in Florida

Motorcycles are a popular form of transportation throughout Florida. With a warm climate and sunny weather throughout the year, it is certainly common to see motorcycles on the roadways throughout our state every day. While riding a motorcycle can be a fun activity, it certainly does not come without risks. According to current statistics, motorcycles comprise about 3% of all registered motor vehicles in our state, however, they account for about 15% of all fatal traffic accidents. A Florida motorcycle accident can leave you feeling devastated, especially if you were seriously hurt or you lost your loved one in the crash.

Motorcycle accidents take place very suddenly and unexpectedly. As we are all aware, motorcycles offer very little protection to the rider in case of a crash. Riders are often thrown from their bikes following the accident, increasing the chances of a serious injury as a result. A motorcycle accident in Florida can have various causes, however, the motorcyclist is not always at fault. In many cases, negligent drivers of other vehicles are to blame for the crash. Drivers who drive in a careless and reckless manner and choose to speed or fail to yield at traffic signals can easily cause a motorcycle crash to occur. Unfortunately, these crashes will likely have serious consequences and can often lead to fatalities, depending on the situation.
