Palm Beach Gardens, FL (March 13, 2021) – Two people were killed in a three-car crash on Thursday in Palm Beach Gardens. The accident happened on the Florida’s Turnpike near mile marker 116.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 34-year-old man from Bushnell was driving a tractor-trailer in the right-hand lane when he lost control of his vehicle. The tractor-trailer spun out and collided with the rear-end of a pickup truck driven by a 65-year-old man from Royal Palm Beach. The semi then swerved left and struck a concrete wall. A front-loader tractor that was being hauled by the trailer detached from the vehicle and went into the southbound lanes. The Port St. Lucie man and his passenger died as a result of the collision. A passenger in the pickup truck suffered serious injuries. The driver of the semi-truck and the man from Royal Palm Beach sustained minor injuries.
The Florida Highway Patrol is still investigating the collision at this time. There is no further information available.
