Miami, FL – Woman Killed in Tractor-Trailer Crash on NW 79th Ave.
Miami, FL (February 14, 2021) – A car and a tractor-trailer were involved in a fatal crash in Northwest Miami-Dade on Thursday, February 11th. The crash happened at the intersection of Northwest 79th Avenue and 22nd Avenue.
According to authorities, a tractor-trailer was traveling eastbound on 79th Street. At the same time, a car was traveling eastbound on 79th. The car attempted to make a left turn but turned into the path of the truck, causing a collision between the two vehicles. The driver of the car died at the accident scene while the tractor-trailer driver was not hurt. The identity of the deceased victim was not immediately released. The road was closed for several hours while officials worked at the scene to clear the wreckage and investigate the accident.
The Miami-Dade Police Department is currently investigating the collision. There is no additional information available at this time and no word on whether any charges are expected to be filed.
