Fatal Car Accidents in Florida

According to the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, there were 9,736 reported pedestrian crashes in our state in 2019. From these crashes, 734 fatalities were reported, placing Florida near the top of all national statistics for fatal pedestrian accidents. In addition to the fatalities, there were more than 6,500 reported injuries with more than 1,500 injuries considered to be incapacitating. From these numbers, it is clear that a Florida pedestrian accident can lead to life-changing consequences both for the victim as well as their family. Sadly, many victims of pedestrian accidents in Florida are killed or injured due to the actions of negligent motorists and are not at fault for the crash themselves.

If you or a family member have been affected by a Florida pedestrian crash, you may have valuable legal rights. If your loved one was killed in a crash that was someone else’s fault, it is important to speak with a skilled Riviera Beach wrongful death attorney right away.
