Florida Pedestrian Accidents

There are more than 500 pedestrian accidents in Florida each year and the pedestrian is extremely likely to be hurt in these accidents. According to some more recent statistics, about 75% of all pedestrian accidents in Florida will result in a trip to the emergency room, while about 20% will require extended hospitalization and treatment of serious injuries. In many cases, the injuries from a pedestrian accident can linger for many weeks and even months following the crash, leaving victims suffering in a long cycle of treatment and recovery.

If you have been injured in a pedestrian crash in Florida, you are no doubt experiencing a difficult time in your life. As you move forward with your rehabilitation and try to regain your quality of life, you may wonder if you will be able to pay your medical bills and enjoy the activities that you once enjoyed prior to the crash. If the crash was not your fault, you may have the right to obtain compensation that can help move you forward and secure your future.

Under Florida law, innocent crash victims can recover for their medical bills, pain and suffering, and lost wages stemming from the accident. In cases of serious injuries, these numbers can be substantial and it is important to have a trusted counsel by your side to make sure you are going in the right direction.
