Miami-Dade FL - Fatal Hit-and-Run Takes ATV Driver’s Life on Bird Rd

Miami-Dade, FL (October 2, 2020) – This past Sunday, a fatal hit-and-run crash took the life of an ATV driver in southwest Miami-Dade county. 

At approximately 11:50 p.m. on the evening of Sunday, September 27, a man driving an all-terrain vehicle was fatally struck by a vehicle that then sped away from the accident scene. 

The wreck occurred on Bird Road in the area of Southwest 94th Avenue just before midnight this past Sunday. 

The car that struck the man was described as a silver Kia sedan. The victim was captured being thrown from his ATV after the Kia struck him. The sedan then fled the scene of the accident, according to a witness and surveillance video from a nearby gas station. 

The deceased victim has not been identified.

No further information has been provided at this time. An investigation is currently ongoing.
