Miami Beach, FL – Woman Transported Following Boat Crash in Biscayne Bay

Miami, FL - Man Airlifted Following Boat Accident in Biscayne Bay

Miami Beach, FL (May 30, 2021) – Rescue crews responded to the scene of a crash involving two boats in the Biscayne Bay near Miami Beach on Saturday, May 29th. The collision happened around 4:00 p.m. near North Bay and Indian Creek Village.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, Miami Beach Police Department, Miami Beach Fire Rescue, and the U.S. Coast guard all arrived at the crash scene. The accident involved a 20 foot Sundancer and 36-foot boat. The victim, who was not identified, was taken to Mount Sinai Medical Center for treatment of unknown injuries and there is no update on their condition at this time. Other boaters received treatment at the scene for minor injuries. There is no word at this time on the cause of the crash or the events leading up to it.

Police are still investigating the incident and have not said whether any charges will be filed. There is no additional information available at this time.
