Miami, FL - Two Injured in Boat Crash at Biscayne Bay

Miami, FL (October 18, 2023) – On Wednesday, a yacht collided with a channel sign in Biscayne Bay near Black Point Marina, injuring two persons.

Officials with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission believe the three people were thrown overboard when their boat collided with a concrete channel marker. When it started taking on water, the boat started to sink to the bottom of the bay.

First responders rescued two individuals from the water and transported them to the marina’s parking lot, where they were later evacuated to a nearby hospital.

An investigation is still ongoing.

Our thoughts are extended to the injured victims and their families.
