West Palm Beach, FL – Louis Vixon Killed in Hit-and-Run on Congress Ave

West Palm Beach, FL (December 28, 2023) – A 67-year-old road construction worker has died five days after suffering catastrophic injuries in a hit-and-run accident in a West Palm Beach construction zone.

The incident occurred at North Congress Avenue and Executive Center Drive on Thursday, December 21. According to the West Palm Beach police, a dark-colored automobile hit Louis Vixon, who was working in a coned-off area where road resurfacing was happening overnight. Vixon was still listed as critical in the hospital’s trauma ICU after hours of surgery, but authorities confirmed on Wednesday that Vixon died on Monday, December 25.

Officers with the West Palm Beach Police Department’s Traffic Homicide Unit are still searching for an unidentified black passenger vehicle with damage. Witnesses were asked to contact police if they had further information.
