Car Accidents in Florida
With approximately 400,000 reported accidents every year, Florida is one of the most dangerous states in the nation for motorists. The number of injury accidents last year was nearly 250,000 and more than 3,000 people were killed. A car crash in Florida can cause victims to suffer serious and painful injuries that can affect every aspect of their lives. Victims may find themselves unable to work and enjoy the activities that they once enjoyed prior to the crash. In addition, motorists who are hurt in a crash will likely face a barrage of medical bills, leaving them in a difficult financial position when it comes to securing needed treatment.
Although a Florida car accident can be a stressful and life-changing event, it does not have to define your future. Many car accidents are caused due to the actions of negligent motorists. These drivers have little regard for the safety of others on the roadway and are constantly placing innocent individuals at risk with their reckless behaviors. If you have been hurt in a crash with a negligent driver, you may have important legal rights under Florida law. For example, you could be entitled to receive payment for your injuries, including your pain and suffering, medical expenses, lost wages, and potentially more. It is important to receive the compensation you deserve so that you can get the treatment you need and get back on your feet faster.
