Fatal Car Accidents in Florida

Florida is one of the most dangerous states in the nation for drivers. According to the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, there were more than 400,000 car accidents in our state in 2019. From this number, approximately 250,000 people were injured and more than 3,000 sustained injuries. A Florida car accident can change the lives of the victim and their family in just a matter of seconds. Unfortunately, many innocent victims are killed each year due to crashes that occur on our state’s roadways.

Following a car accident in Florida, police must carefully look at the cause of the crash and make a determination as to the cause. If you have lost a loved one in a crash, you could be entitled to bring a legal claim for wrongful death. Under Florida law, wrongful death actions are filed against a negligent driver and can seek recovery for damages, including lost wages, loss of companionship, funeral costs, medical bills, and potentially more. While there is no amount of money that can replace the loss of a loved one, a wrongful death action can help you obtain compensation to cover many of the unexpected expenses that arise during this difficult time.

Here at Boone & Davis Law, our skilled and experienced attorneys will fight for you when you or a loved one have been victimized by someone else’s carelessness.
