Car Accidents in Florida
Last year in Florida, there were about 400,000 traffic crashes reported in our state. Of this number, approximately 250,000 people suffered some type of injury. The injuries that can occur in a Florida car accident range from minor to severe. Some crash victims may suffer only scrapes and bruises, while others can suffer permanent injuries and even death as a result. The nature of injuries sustained depends on many factors including the speed at which the collision takes place, how the accident occurs, and the number of vehicles involved.
If you or a loved one have suffered injuries in a car accident in Miami or surrounding areas, you could have valuable legal rights. Under Florida law, if the crash was not your fault, you can make a claim for legal compensation against the other driver or their insurance company. These claims can seek recovery for a variety of damages, including pain and suffering, lost wages, medical and prescription bills, and more. The ultimate value of your case depends on many factors, including the severity of your injuries and the cost of your medical treatment.
Following a car accident in Florida, it is important to have a Florida car accident attorney by your side who can stand up for you against the insurance company. Many people mistakenly believe that the insurance adjuster is working for them and that they will make a fair offer to settle the claim. This is not normally the case as the insurance company’s motivation is to resolve your matter as quickly and cheaply as possible. Their settlement offers may be inadequate to fully compensate you for your injuries as well as past and future medical treatment.
At Boone & Davis, we will fight back when the insurance company is trying to shortchange you. For more than 35 years, we have helped crash victims and their families when they have been affected by the negligent actions of another. We would be honored to help you as well.
