Miami Gardens, FL – Woman Injured in 14th Ave House Fire
Miami Gardens, FL (November 16, 2023) – On Friday, November 17th, reports of a house fire that left one woman injured prompted a response by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue. The blaze was reported at about 4:15 a.m. at a residence located near 14th Avenue and Northwest 172nd Street.
Despite flames and heavy smoke, responders were able to safely extricate the elderly victim who was trapped inside. Her two pets, a cat and a dog, were also successfully rescued from the home. According to officials, the woman sustained undisclosed injuries. She was immediately transported to a local trauma center. Her current condition has not been released.
The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage to the home remain under investigation at this time.
