Miami, FL – Woman Rescued, Injuries Occur in Fire on 217th St
Miami, FL (October 8, 2023) – Over a dozen people were displaced by a home fire in Southwest Miami-Dade, which also resulted in a woman’s rescue and subsequent injuries.
On Sunday morning, a house fire swept through a residence located on Southwest 217th Street, close to 122nd Avenue.
A Good Samaritan who came upon the scene rescued an elderly woman from the fire. Shortly thereafter, EMTs and firefighters arrived at the scene and assessed victims for injuries.
The origin of the blaze has yet to be determined, though the American Red Cross has sent in volunteers to aid the 13 persons displaced.
