Miami, FL (February 1, 2024) – A 3-year-old boy and his grandmother were rushed to the hospital after they were attacked by their dog in southwest Miami-Dade on Wednesday, officials said.

The incident happened in the 24400 block of Southwest 182nd Avenue. Officials with Miami-Dade Animal Services said the attack was unprovoked and caused extensive injuries to both victims. No other information was immediately known, and it’s unclear if citations or charges will be issued. An investigation remains ongoing.
