Injury Crashes in Florida
According to statistics released by NHTSA, a reportable car accident in Florida takes place about once every 90 seconds. Many victims of Florida car accidents will suffer serious injuries, meaning that the other driver can be held financially responsible for the damages caused by the crash. Following a car accident in our state, authorities will conduct a careful investigation into the crash scene in order to determine the cause of the accident and the events that led up to it. In most cases, at least one negligent motorist will be held responsible for the accident and charges may be filed in connection with the crash.
If you or your family member have been affected by a Florida car accident, you may have the right to receive compensation. While not every crash results in a compensable injury, each year there are thousands of innocent motorists who are affected by accidents that were not their fault. These motorists can receive compensation in the form of payment for their pain and suffering, medical bills, lost wages, and more. Only an experienced Florida car accident lawyer can properly evaluate your case and determine the amount to which you could be entitled. You should never attempt to handle the claim or speak with the insurance adjuster yourself. If you do so, you run the risk of not obtaining an adequate settlement and may end up being financially responsible for your medical bills and other expenses stemming from the crash.
