Injury Accidents in Florida
Florida is one of the most dangerous states in the nation for motorists. According to statistics maintained by the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, there were more than 400,000 reported car accidents in our state in 2019. From this number, approximately 250,000 people suffered injuries. Many injuries sustained in Florida traffic accidents are serious in nature and can have life-changing consequences. Although there are no precise statistics, a large number of Florida injury crashes occur due to the actions of negligent drivers and many people who are hurt in these accidents are innocent victims who were simply in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Following a Florida car accident, it is important to have a full and complete understanding of your legal rights. Many crash victims make the mistake of attempting to handle these claims on their own. This can result in a settlement that is far lower than what the case is actually worth. In these situations, victims may find themselves paying out of pocket for their medical bills or they may require future medical treatment that is not covered by the value of their settlement. Having an experienced attorney by your side from the beginning can help ensure that you do not find yourself in this difficult situation as you make your recovery after the crash.
