Lake Worth Beach, FL – Three-Car Wreck Causes Injuries on I-95 at 6th Ave

Lake Worth Beach, FL (September 1, 2023) – A Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) police cruiser and three other vehicles were involved in an accident on Thursday afternoon, August 31.

The incident happened on southbound I-95 near 6th Avenue at around 1:30 p.m.

According to the official report, the FHP officer was en route to the scene of another accident and crossed to the inner shoulder from the center lane before stopping. The driver of a Dodge Charger suddenly braked as a result, causing the driver of a Volkswagen Passat to veer to the right in order to avoid rear-ending the Charger.

A chain-reaction crash took place when a third motorist, traveling in a Toyota Tacoma, rear-ended the Passat.

Several police vehicles and ambulances could be seen at the site of the collision via news footage, though the total number of injured victims remains unknown.
