Ft. Lauderdale, FL – Victims Hurt in Pursuit, Crash at 3rd St & 27th Terr

Fort Lauderdale, FL (September 1, 2023) – Fort Lauderdale Police reported a multi-vehicle wreck following a pursuit of several suspects around 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
Officers attempted to pull over the driver of an SUV, who allegedly fled and prompted a high-speed chase. The suspect later collided with a white sedan at the intersection of Southwest 3rd Street and Southwest 27th Terrace in Fort Lauderdale.
The SUV rolled during the collision, coming to rest on its side on the grass next to a house. The white sedan veered into two parked vehicles in front of another house due to the force of the crash, causing a fire.
The four suspects were taken to Broward Health Medical Center before being charged. The second motorist, whose injuries were not specified, was also taken to the hospital.
An investigation remains active.
