Fatal Pedestrian Accidents in Florida

Although the state of Florida has seen a 2.35% decrease in the number of pedestrians injured in accidents, these horrific incidents continue to leave nearly 8,000 people injured each year. The fact that pedestrians are unprotected in collisions means they are more likely to suffer traumatic injuries. Some of the most common injuries pedestrians are left with after motor vehicle accidents include:

  • Broken Bones
  • Traumatic Brain Injuries
  • Spinal Cord Injuries
  • Neck and Soft Tissue Injuries
  • And more

Regrettably, pedestrians are at an increased risk of suffering fatal injuries in collisions. Between 2008 and 2017, more than 5,400 pedestrians lost their lives in vehicle accidents throughout our state. The mental and emotional consequences of these accidents are overwhelming. Adding the financial impacts families face just makes the situation even more devastating.  When a victim loses their life in an accident as a result of another driver’s actions, it is crucial that their family seek legal guidance from a qualified and knowledgeable wrongful death attorney in Florida as soon as possible. Victims may be entitled to compensation to help alleviate the financial burdens they face moving forward.

Working with a skilled legal team is a family’s best bet for getting the justice they deserve after being losing loved ones due to the negligent and reckless actions of another driver.
