Ft Lauderdale, FL - Six Hurt in House Fire on 15th Ct

Fort Lauderdale, FL (October 17, 2023) – Two parents and four children were displaced Tuesday afternoon after a home fire in North Lauderdale.

The fire began in the 3:00 p.m. hour on Southwest 15th Court and spread to the 6500 block. North Lauderdale Fire Rescue said the fire started on the back patio and quickly spread into the house.

According to reports, the occupants of the building, including the two dogs, escaped safely, but EMTs evaluated several victims for minor injuries.

The cause of the fire is now being investigated by authorities.

Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their loved ones. We hope that they will make a complete recovery.
