Ft Lauderdale, FL – Marina Fire Causes Injury Near SR 84

Fort Lauderdale, FL (October 12, 2023) – On Thursday night, at about 10:30 p.m., firefighters from Fort Lauderdale were called to the Yacht Haven Marina off West State Road 84 due to a fire.

The flames, which overtook a 92-foot yacht, was fought by a joint effort by fire departments and the Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue.

A handful of victims were evaluated by EMTs at the scene, though it’s unclear if anybody was transported to the hospital.

An inquiry remains active in the meantime, and no further details have been released in connection to the cause of the blaze.
