Fort Lauderdale, FL – One Killed, One Hurt in Crash on NE 3rd Avenue
Fort Lauderdale, FL (December 13, 2020) – One person was killed and another suffered injuries after a crash in Fort Lauderdale on Saturday. The crash happened on Northeast Third Avenue near the intersection with Sixth Street just after midnight.
According to investigators, a white Porsche was traveling southbound on NE 3rd when the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to veer off the roadway and strike a light pole and a parked car before coming to rest. The Porsche burst into flames following the accident. Both the driver and the passenger were trapped inside the vehicle. A nearby witness rushed to help and was able to pull one person from the car. The other occupant of the vehicle died at the scene.
Neither of the victims has been identified at this time. An investigation into the accident is ongoing and there is no additional information available.
