Delray Beach, FL (September 22, 2023) – Friday morning’s first Brightline train from Miami to Orlando was delayed due to a fatal incident, the company announced.

According to the authorities, another Brightline train was involved in the accident at around 7:00 a.m. The train was traveling south from West Palm Beach to Miami. The police verified the death of a pedestrian after officers from Delray Beach were sent to the intersection of SE 2nd Avenue and SE 4th Street for the incident.

An investigation into the cause of the incident is still ongoing, however.

Our deepest condolences are with the deceased victim’s loved ones.
