Can I be found liable in Florida if my car was rear-ended in a crash?
Transcript
When your vehicle is rear ended in a crash there is what we call a rebuttable presumption that you were not at fault. However, this does not stop somebody in the other vehicle from arguing that you applied your brakes on purpose to cause an accident, or stopped for no reason. So the answer is, can you still be held responsible? Yes, but very unlikely.
