Truck Accidents in Florida

The statistics regarding truck accidents in Florida paint a grim picture. According to data from NHTSA, nearly 5 percent of all reported truck accidents in the United States take place in Florida. Data also shows that 72 percent of individuals who are killed in truck accidents were occupying other vehicles at the time of the crash. In our state alone, more than 100 people are killed each year in accidents involving commercial vehicles.

From these numbers, it is easy to see that the odds are not in your favor if you or a loved one have been involved in a Florida truck accident. The reality is that most commercial vehicle crashes in Florida lead to serious injuries and even death for the victims. Commercial vehicles are large and powerful and collisions can bring a tremendous force that greatly increases the chances of being injured. Some common injuries that are caused by commercial truck crashes include broken bones, head trauma, spinal cord injuries, paralysis, and more.

Due to the nature of truck accidents, it is highly important that you have a skilled and experienced attorney fighting for you. Truck crashes often present complicated scenarios for victims. The trucking company may dispute how the accident occurred or they may claim that their driver was not at fault for the crash. They may also try to minimize their damages by offering a low settlement amount, hoping that you will accept it and not go after the compensation that you truly deserve.

At Boone & Davis, we will fight for you when you have been affected by a truck accident in our state.
