West Palm Beach, FL - Apollo Bummolo in Two-Car Crash on Southern Blvd.

West Palm Beach, FL (August 1, 2021) – A 23-year-old man from West Palm Beach was killed in a crash involving his motorcycle and another vehicle on Saturday. The accident took place around 1:30 a.m. in the 3000 block of Southern Boulevard.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office reports that Apollo Bummolo was riding a 2005 Yamaha when he collided with a 2020 Toyota Camry that was traveling eastbound. The Camry was operated by 18-year-old Esteban Cuadra of West Palm Beach. Bummolo was thrown onto the hood of the car. The car then entered the median and hit a road sign before rolling over and coming to rest.

Bummolo died at the crash scene while Cuadra sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. The road was closed for several hours while officials investigated at the scene. Motorists were advised to find alternate routes of travel and to use caution near the scene.

The crash investigation is ongoing at this time.
We would like to offer our thoughts and condolences to those affected by this fatal motorcycle crash in West Palm Beach.

Motorcycle Accidents in West Palm Beach

A motorcycle crash in West Palm Beach can lead to devastating and catastrophic injuries for victims. In 2019, there were more than 10,000 reported motorcycle crashes in Florida. From these accidents, 550 people tragically lost their lives and thousands more sustained injuries. Most motorcycle crashes result in serious and debilitating injuries. Some common injuries in Florida motorcycle accidents are broken bones, head trauma, paralysis, and even death. Motorcyclists are more likely to be hurt because their bikes provide little to no protection against the impact of a collision.

While a motorcycle crash may change your life for the worse, you could have legal rights if you or a family member were hurt in a West Palm Beach motorcycle accident. Many motorcycle crashes are caused by negligent drivers and the motorcyclists themselves are not actually at fault for the collision. In this case, the victim or their family can bring a claim against the driver who was responsible for the accident.
