Wellington, FL – Several Injured in House Fire at Barberry Dr at Sugar Pond

Wellington, FL (September 26, 2023) – Two parents and five children have been displaced from their Wellington, Florida, home due to a fire on Tuesday night.

The area along Barberry Drive known as Sugar Pond Manor was the scene. Someone inside the house reportedly contacted 911 and reported hearing smoke alarms, per the Palm Beach County Fire Rescue. Light smoke was emanating from a closet within the house when firefighters arrived.

Per the Palm Beach County Fire Rescue, injuries were reported, but the victims’ current conditions are unknown.

An investigation remains ongoing.
