Vero Beach, FL – 21-Year-Old Woman Killed in Rollover Crash on State Road 60
Vero Beach, FL (May 8, 2021) – A 21-year-old passenger was killed in a rollover crash that took place earlier this week in Vero Beach. The incident occurred on Thursday, May 6th on State Road 60 near the intersection with Blue Cypress Lake Road.
According to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol, a 48-year-old man from Sebastian was driving westbound on State R0ad 60 when he lost control of the vehicle. The car traveled onto the northbound shoulder of the roadway. The driver overcorrected his vehicle and lost control of the car. The SUV then veered across the westbound lanes and onto a grassy shoulder where it overturned. The vehicle came to rest partially on the shoulder and partially in the roadway.
A passenger in the vehicle, identified as a 21-year-old woman from Sebastian, was killed in the crash. Two other passengers and the driver sustained minor injuries in the collision. There is no word at this time on what caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle.
