Tamarac, FL (June 16, 2021) – Police in Tamarac are currently investigating a fatal motorcycle accident that occurred on Sunday. The wreck took the life of one adult male motorcyclist who has not been identified at this time. 

According to reports, at approximately 9:38 p.m. on Sunday, June 13, a 2008 Chevrolet Equinox was traveling from Northwest 78th Street to North Pine Island Road. While she was attempting to turn left onto North Pine, the motorcyclist, who was riding a 2021 Kawasaki Ninja, headed south on North Pine, the Equinox went into the southbound lanes of the road while the motorcyclist attempted to brake. 

The bike fell over onto its left side, slid across the roadway, and collided with the driver’s side of the Equinox, according to officials. Both vehicles then stopped in the intersection. 

Officials with Tamarac Fire Rescue pronounced the motorcyclist deceased at the scene of the collision. The driver of the Equinox stayed at the scene in order to cooperate with authorities. 

Police in Tamarac continue to investigate the circumstances of the accident. No further information is available at this time.
