Sunrise, FL (September 10, 2023) – On Sunday morning, a fire in Sunrise displaced a family of nine and left a handful of people with injuries.

According to authorities, the blaze in the 6000 block of Northwest 18th Place began in the garage of a home before 4:30 a.m.

Multiple fire engines responded to the report of a two-alarm blaze, according to the firefighters. It took four hours to completely extinguish the blaze. Paramedics assessed several people for smoke inhalation, though their current conditions are not known.
