Port St Lucie, FL – Pedestrian in Critical Condition After Crash on SW Tunis Ave/SW Darwin Blvd
Port St Lucie, FL (March 24, 2021) – A man is recovering in the hospital after he was hit by a car at an intersection in Port St Lucie this morning, March 24. At around 9:10 a.m., police and EMTs were dispatched to the scene of the crash in order to assist the injured victim.
The man was deemed to have been critically injured in the collision that took place at the intersection of Southwest Tunis Avenue and Southwest Darwin Boulevard. The factors contributing to the cause of the incident have not been determined at this time.
The injured party was treated at the scene before being transported to Lawnwood Medical Center. His name has not been released at this time.
PSL Boulevard was closed in both directions between SW Tunis and SW Darwin while Port St Lucie Police officers worked to investigate the circumstances of the wreck. Traffic delays were observed in the area for several hours after the crash occurred.
