North Miami, FL - Apartment Fire on NE Sixth Ave Injures Four

North Miami, FL (December 07, 2020) – An apartment building in North Miami erupted into flames on Saturday, December 5th causing injuries to three victims and putting a fourth in the hospital.

At about 1:00 p.m., the Miami-Dade Fire and Rescue squad responded to reports of a possible fire at an apartment building at the intersection of Northeast 134th Street and Northeast Sixth Avenue. Just minutes later, a second alarm fire was declared and additional units were dispatched to the scene.

Somewhere around 26 fire and rescue teams, made up of more than 90 firefighters, responded to the fire. An official with Miami Dade Fire and Rescue stated that the flames were under control shortly after 1:30 p.m.

Three of the victims sustained injuries that were classified as non-life-threatening and one was transported to a local medical facility. Their medical condition is not currently known.

The blaze appeared to be mostly confined to a single dwelling, but damage from fire and smoke were done to the balcony of the apartment one floor up.

Our thoughts are with the injured victim and their family at this time. We hope for their full recovery.

Fire and Burn Injury Accidents in North Miami

North Miami, FL - Apartment Fire on NE Sixth Ave Injures Four

Victims of fires and other accidents that cause burn injuries are usually forced to endure the psychological trauma and physical wounds that result in crushing medical expenses, lost income, and overwhelming pain and suffering. Anytime another person’s negligence is responsible for your burn injury, like your apartment landlord neglecting to obey fire safety laws or your employer disregarding OSHA regulations, you may be entitled to solicit financial compensation for the damages stated above and many others as well.

Landlords, insurance adjusters, site managers, and others will do everything in their power to minimize compensation for a burn injury victim. That is why if you or a family member have sustained a burn injury, it is essential that you reach out to a knowledgeable fire and burn injury attorney immediately following your accident. The right attorney can help you bring the liable party to account for their negligence and work hard to ensure that you receive full and fair financial compensation.

If you were recently injured in an accident that caused burn injuries, Florida law entitles you to certain legal rights, such as soliciting full financial compensation for your accident-related injuries from the person responsible.

The exact monetary value of your personal injury claim hinges on multiple variables, like the nature and degree of your injuries, the length of your hospitalization, whether or not you need any ongoing medical treatment such as physical therapy, the length of time you were forced to miss work, and if you suffered any emotional trauma, like disfigurement.

These factors and many more will be taken into consideration when a fair amount of monetary compensation for your claim is being determined.
