Miami, FL – Woman Killed in Pedestrian Wreck on 79th St Cswy

Miami, FL (November 5, 2023) – A woman was killed early Saturday morning after she was hit by a vehicle and dragged over the 79th Street Causeway.

Police said the collision occurred at 7951 NE Bayshore Court at 3:40 a.m. near a high-rise condominium.

The victim, who authorities say was in her twenties, was rushed to the Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital, where she later died.

The police report that the suspect driver stayed at the site, though it’s unclear if citations or charges are pending. An investigation is ongoing.
