Miami, FL – Woman Hit, Hospitalized in Crash on Coconut Creek Pkwy

Miami, FL (October 7, 2023) – At about 3:00 p.m. on Friday afternoon, October 6, a woman was struck by a vehicle and wedged between the car and poles outside a Publix on the corner of Coconut Creek Parkway and Lyons Road.

According to eyewitnesses, as the woman was leaving, a vehicle sped up next to the entrance. The driver struck her, then stopped in front of the store, pinning her against the yellow post.

The male motorist stayed at the scene after the accident. The woman was taken to the hospital immediately, but her current status is unclear.

It’s unknown if the driver is facing citations or charges, though authorities continue to investigate.
