Miami, FL – Teen Boy Dies in Bicycle Crash on 199th St

Miami, FL (October 3, 2023) – Miami Gardens officers say a van driver and a minor riding his bicycle to school were involved in a fatal collision on Tuesday morning, October 3.

The boy’s identity and age have not been revealed by police. The accident happened at 6:30 a.m. in the 200 block of Northwest 199th Street, and officials say the teenager was on his way to Miami Norland Senior High School when the incident occurred.

The driver of the white van remained at the site. According to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, the teen was airlifted to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center, where he was pronounced dead.

In the meanwhile, the inquiry continues.
