Miami, FL – Scooter Rider Hit & Killed at 22nd Ave & 54th St

Miami, FL (February 6, 2024) – Early Tuesday morning, two drivers collided with a man on a scooter and fled the scene, prompting the police to pursue them. A man riding a scooter was involved in an accident with a car traveling north on NW 22nd Avenue around 6:00 a.m., according to Miami-Dade police, in the vicinity of NW 54th Street.

Upon arriving, the officers discovered a severely damaged BMW with airbags deployed and a scooter lodged under the front. The man riding the scooter was pronounced dead at the scene, and investigators claim that surveillance footage shows two drivers fleeing the site. The police have not disclosed the deceased man’s identity. There is currently no description of the two individuals seen from the vehicle, but an investigation remains ongoing.
