Fatal Accidents in Florida

Hit-and-run accidents take place every day, multiple times per day in Florida. In our state, it is illegal to leave the scene of a crash, especially if the crash involves injury to another person. However, this does not stop drivers who are intent on breaking the law. In the most recent year, there were over 100,000 hit-and-run crashes in Florida. This number is substantial enough to account for about 20% of all the reported traffic accidents in our cases. Florida hit-and-run accidents are often severe in nature and lead to serious injuries and even death in the worst-case scenario.

Drivers who cause hit-and-run accidents are usually engaged in some type of negligent driving behavior. These drivers choose to flee the scene of the crash knowing that they have caused a major accident. Hit-and-run accident cases can present difficult and complex legal scenarios. You may wonder how you can obtain a recovery if the other driver is never located. Having an experienced attorney by your side is important to make sure that you are not walking away from the crash empty-handed.

Under Florida law, you could be entitled to recover damages when you or a family member have been affected by a hit-and-run accident in our state. The attorneys at Boone & Davis have decades of experience assisting clients who are suffering from the aftermath of a hit-and-run crash.
