Pedestrian Accidents in Florida
Although the state of Florida has seen a 2.35% decrease in the number of pedestrians injured in accidents, these horrific incidents continue to leave nearly 8,000 people injured each year. The fact that pedestrians are unprotected in collisions means they are more likely to suffer traumatic injuries. Some of the most common injuries pedestrians are left with after motor vehicle accidents include:
- Broken Bones
- Traumatic Brain Injuries
- Spinal Cord Injuries
- Neck and Soft Tissue Injuries
- And more
Pedestrians involved in accidents are at an increased risk of suffering fatal injuries due to the negligence of others. Victims who do survive often require extensive medical treatment.
