Miami, FL – One Killed in Fatal Crash on Palmetto Expressway
Miami, FL (December 10, 2020) – A fatal traffic collision that took the life of one individual took place on the Palmetto Expressway on Sunday, December 6.
The accident occurred at approximately 3:00 a.m. on the Palmetto Expressway when an SUV flipped over, scattering debris across SR-826 at Northwest 122nd Street. The reason the collision occurred remains unknown, as police continue their crash investigation.
According to the accident report, one person, who remains unidentified at this time, lost their life in the fatal crash. A witness statement revealed that the deceased victim was ejected from the vehicle due to the force of the collision.
Another person, who also remains unidentified, was injured in the accident and transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. The scope and severity of their injuries have not been disclosed to the public at this point in time.
Northbound 826 was closed from 103rd Street until some time after 9:00 a.m., approximately six hours after the accident took place. First responders worked at the crash scene assisting the injured victim and clearing the wreckage from the roadway.
