Miami, FL – One Dead, One Hurt in Rte 27 Wrong-Way Crash

Miami, FL (October 27, 2023) – An early Friday morning wrong-way accident on U.S. Route 27 claimed the life of one person.

The Miramar Police Department received a call about a collision near Krome Avenue at around 5:50 a.m. Police said that the accident occurred when a car heading south in the northbound lanes collided head-on with another car headed north in the northbound lanes.

The second car’s driver was killed instantly, and their passenger was taken to the hospital. Meanwhile, the wrong-way motorist walked away uninjured.

An investigation remains ongoing at this time.
