Miami, FL – One Dead in Dump Truck Accident on US 27

Miami, FL (February 29, 2024) – Local officers report that a dump truck collision on U.S. 27 in greater Miami on Tuesday resulted in the death of one individual.

On Tuesday morning at 6:45 a.m., near mile marker 40, the Florida Highway Patrol reported that a passenger vehicle and a 1992 Ford dump truck were involved in a crash. One person was pronounced dead at the scene, and EMTs were spotted assessing other persons for injuries. The accident’s cause is currently unknown; however, an investigation is in progress at this time.
