Injury Accidents in Florida

Florida is one of the largest states in the country, with a population of approximately 21.5 million people. The number of Florida residents continues to grow each year. Along with an increase in population comes an increase in the number of reported traffic accidents. Currently, there are about 400,000 reported car accidents in Florida every year and nearly 250,000 injury accidents. Sadly, just over 3,000 people were also killed in crashes on Florida’s roadways in 2019. These numbers certainly underscore some of the dangers of driving in the Sunshine State.

If you have been injured in a Florida car accident, you are likely to have many questions about your future. Depending on the severity of your injuries, you may be unable to work to support yourself and your family. Activities that you once enjoyed prior to the crash may no longer be available to you as you are facing a long road to recovery. In many instances, the crash was not even your fault as you were injured due to someone else’s carelessness.

Fortunately, there is help available. Under Florida law, you can make a claim for recovery of your damages caused by the accident. This can include payments for pain and suffering, lost wages, medical bills, and possibly more. During your recovery, it is vital that you receive the compensation you deserve so that you are not left shorthanded and financially responsible for the collision.
