Miami, FL – Moped Rider Hospitalized in Hit-and-Run at 103rd & 35th Ave

Miami, FL - Moped Rider Hospitalized in Hit-and-Run at 103rd & 35th Ave

Miami, FL (September 16, 2023) – On Wednesday, police called for the public’s assistance in locating a hit-and-run motorist who severely injured a moped rider in northwest Miami-Dade County.

At around 2:00 a.m., an 18-year-old man was struck at NW 103rd Street and 35th Avenue and left seriously injured.

The victim was reportedly riding his scooter home from work when the driver of a Toyota Corolla SE hit him. Police say the vehicle was likely manufactured in 2007 or later. EMTs rushed the man to the hospital, where it was determined that he sustained facial injuries and injuries to his legs and hands.

Police are still searching for the suspect driver at this time and asked any witnesses to get in touch.

Our thoughts are extended to the injured man and his loved ones.
