Miami, FL – Injuries Occur in Apt Fire on 21st Ave
Miami, FL (November 23, 2023) – On Tuesday night, a fire broke out in an apartment building in Little Havana, forcing around 40 residents to evacuate their homes, according to officials. Per Capt. Ignatius Carroll Jr. of the Miami Fire Rescue Department, firefighters were sent to the structure located at 44 NW 21st Avenue just before 10:00 p.m. in the evening. One woman was treated for smoke inhalation but is expected to recover, reported Carroll. Five adults and five children from two families were claimed to be receiving emergency relief and temporary shelter from the American Red Cross. It’s unclear if any other injuries occurred, but the investigation is ongoing.
