Hit-and-Runs in Miami
Sadly, hit-and-run accidents account for over 20% of the statewide accident rate in Florida. In 2015, there were approximately 90,000 reported hit-and-run accidents in the Sunshine State that injured more than 20,000 people and took the lives of hundreds. It is against the law to leave the scene of an accident, especially when someone was injured, but, regrettably, people do it all the time.

If you have lost a loved one due to the negligence of another person on the road, call a Florida wrongful death attorney as soon as possible to discuss your options for financial compensation.
The most prevalent cause for car accidents to occur in the Sunshine State, currently, is distracted driving, which is another form of negligent driving. The specific action that people most often choose to carry out while driving that puts them in the distracted driving’ category is texting. Texting and driving accounts for nearly one-fourth of all of the car accidents that take place in Florida.
