Miami, FL – Fatal Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-75
Miami, FL (January 7, 2021) – One woman has lost her life after her involvement in a multi-car crash that occurred in Miami yesterday morning, January 6.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash occurred on I-75 when the SUV she was traveling in was headed south. For unknown reasons, the vehicle struck the guardrail and traveled across the southbound lanes up onto the median. The SUV then crashed into a wall in the vicinity of Miramar Parkway.
A female passenger present in the vehicle at the time of the collision, aged 60, was pronounced deceased at a nearby hospital shortly after the accident took place. Her name has not been released to the public at this time.
The driver and a child who was in the car when the crash took place were transported to nearby hospitals with serious, yet non-life-threatening injuries. Their identities have not been disclosed.
All lanes of the interstate were closed while first responders worked at the crash scene. Traffic was diverted at the Miramar Parkway exit for a period of time following the incident.
