Miami, FL – Deadly Hit-and-Run on SR 91 Near Sunrise Under Inquiry
Miami, FL (February 4, 2024) – The man was killed in a motorcycle collision on Thursday, per troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol.
The victim, a 40-year-old man, was traveling northbound on State Road 91 near Sunrise Boulevard. Fire rescue personnel and law enforcement authorities responded to the initial collision and discovered a 2013 green Kawasaki motorcycle, but were unaware that the victim had fallen into the canal and was unable to locate its rider, according to troopers. The identity of the victim is unknown; however, the case is being investigated by FHP. Witnesses were asked to step forward and provide information on a possible hit-and-run motorist.
