Miami, FL – Bicyclist Killed in Vehicle Crash on Coral Way
Miami, FL (January 2, 2024) – A driver hit a bicyclist on Tuesday morning, prompting authorities to close a roadway in West Miami-Dade. The westbound lanes of Coral Way were closed down at the junction of Southwest 72nd Street and Coral Way by Miami-Dade Police officers. Officials say that the motorist who was involved remained at the site and said that the collision with the bike took place at about 6:05 a.m. EMTs attempted life-saving measures on the victim, but the bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
No information about the accident’s cause, victim’s identification, or any charges has been made public at this time. The westbound lanes were closed for several hours while the investigation was ongoing, and local law enforcement asked any witnesses to come forward.
