Margate, FL - Five Hospitalized in Assisted Living Fire on Margate Blvd

Margate, FL (February 25, 2024) – Five residents of an assisted living facility in Margate were rushed to the hospital after a fire broke out.

On Sunday, shortly after 8:00 a.m., Margate Fire Rescue units were dispatched to the LiveWell at Coral Plaza senior living community located at the intersection of Margate Boulevard and 58th Avenue in response to the fire. Five individuals were airlifted to nearby hospitals by paramedics due to non-life-threatening injuries. As of now, the fire’s cause is being investigated.
